Amit Waghchaure
– The Story So Far
Amit Waghchaure is a Production Designer and Art Director with a strong foundation in Film and Fine Art. His boundless creativity brings cinematic worlds to life, seamlessly blending artistry with storytelling.
Based in Mumbai, Amit has collaborated with renowned production houses like Prakash Jha Productions, Friday Filmworks, Vyjayanthi Films, Colosseum, and more. His work in Production Design has earned him prestigious nominations at the Filmfare Awards, Zee Chitra Gaurav, and Pravah Picture Puraskar.
Amit’s journey took off with his first independent feature, the Telugu film Yevade Subramanyam. He also directed the award-winning short film Gaabha and spent over six years in theater, honing his craft. With a background in painting, he meticulously transforms spaces into immersive landscapes that enhance cinematic storytelling.
Currently, Amit is working on several web series, a feature film, and resort projects, constantly pushing the boundaries of cinematic aesthetics. His unique vision and attention to detail make every project a visual masterpiece.
